Guided Innovation Tours at Top Advanced Manufacturing Event in Toronto
Large Exhibition at Toronto Congress Centre to Provide Tour Guides to Navigate Show Floor
Santa Monica, CA, May 7, 2015 – The upcoming advanced manufacturing event, at the Toronto Congress Centre, June 16-18, 2015, which includes PACKEX Toronto, Canada’s longest-running national packaging exhibition, will now include free Innovation Tours, guided by experts, on specific topics. Each tour will take up to 20 attendees to five or six selected booths, giving them a snapshot view of advances in that particular topic and a chance to talk with exhibitors.
“Trade events are complex and there is a lot going on,” said Jim Beretta, Event Manager for UBM Canon and leader for the Innovation Tour, Advances in Robotics.” One of the things I like about giving the Innovation Tours is that we know the technologies and the companies, the innovators, and the start-ups, so we can help the attendee see a wide variety of new and innovative technologies quickly and efficiently. We facilitate the conversation between the exhibitors and the attendees.”
In addition to the Robotics Tour, other topics scheduled for Innovation Tours are Packaging and Powder & Bulk Solids. No reservation is needed, but it is advised that attendees arrive early to secure a headset, in order to hear the tour guide on the sometimes noisy expo floor. Tours depart from the Center Stage, Booth 446.
Co-located alongside PACKEX Toronto are PLAST-EX, the Canadian event for the plastics industry, and four other UBM Canon specialized design and manufacturing shows, Design & Manufacturing Canada, ATX Canada (for automation technology), PBS Toronto (for powder and bulk solids), and the new Quality Expo.
